Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Irtaki — an educational platform providing educational services (company registration in progress), Sidi Bel Abbès 22000, Algeria ("Irtaki", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using EMI by Irtaki (the "service") you accept them and the Privacy Policy.

2. The service

The service offers English lessons for specialists (reading, listening, writing and speaking), a placement test, and automated feedback generated by AI.

3. Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person per account. Do not share it or sell access to it.
• You must be at least 18 years old; you confirm this at sign-up.

4. Plans, payment and refunds

• Free trial: 10 lessons within 10 days, at most one lesson a day.
• Monthly plan: 30 lessons within 30 days. If you buy a new monthly plan, the lessons you did not use in the plan that just ended are added to it, once; unused trial lessons are added to your first monthly plan.
• Block plan: the 120 lessons of one level within 365 days. A block plan expires at the end of its 365 days and must be bought again; you can buy your next block once you have finished the 120 lessons of the current one.
• Prices are shown in the app before you pay. You pay once, through our payment provider; a plan starts when the payment is confirmed and is never renewed or charged again automatically.
• Refunds: within 3 days of the payment if you have not used the plan; none once the plan has been used. The details are on the Refunds and cancellation page.
• We may change prices for future purchases; a change does not affect a plan you have already paid for.

5. AI feedback and its limits

Most feedback in the service is generated by AI. It is a learning aid: it can be wrong, it is not an official assessment, and we do not promise any exam result, certificate or level. Your level and progress are decided automatically from your scores; if you think a result is wrong, write to contact@irtaki.net and a member of our team will look at it.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service. In particular do not:

• copy, scrape, record or redistribute the lessons, audio or images;
• try to bypass limits or security, or interfere with the service;
• submit unlawful or abusive content, or someone else's personal data, in your answers;
• use the service to build a competing product.

7. Content and intellectual property

The lessons, audio, images, software and the Irtaki name belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own study while your account is active. You keep the rights to what you write and say; you allow us to process it to provide the service and, in anonymous form, to improve it.

8. Availability

We work to keep the service available but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or withdraw features.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy, section 8). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. What happens to a paid plan in that case: [to be confirmed].

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes in the app or by e-mail; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Algeria, and the competent courts of Algeria have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights in your country.
